Cold Flow Solutions for B50 Bioheat® Fuels

The use of biodiesel as a blend component for heating oil offers an intelligent solution to lower GHG emissions. When blending conventional heating oil with biodiesel, cold flow properties of the blends will be altered requiring both a well thought out fuel management program and a uniquely optimized fuel chemistry designed to enhance transport, storage and handling of the new biodiesel fuel blends.

Dr. Müller will demonstrate how newly developed DODIFLOW® chemistry can help improve the cold flow challenges associated with Bioheat® fuel blends up to B50. Complimenting the project development pathway will be strategies focusing on managing fuel to mitigate water and sedimentation contamination.
